Many places around the world are becoming accepting of the LGBTQAI community, but that doesn’t mean that individuals in the Gay, Bi or Queer (GBQ) community feel safe or connected. GBQ men are often filled with anxiety, loneliness and shame. Coming out is a rite of passage that GBQ men often go alone, into a homophobic and heteronormative society, and without mentors to guide them. Consequently, many turn to alcohol, drugs, casual sex and other compulsive behaviors in order to cope with the pain and isolation they feel.

I'm here to let you know, it can get better.

As an out and proud therapist, I understand the complexity of growing up with fear, marginalization and not fitting societies idea of a “man”. I was blessed to have the unconditional love of family and friends, and I strive to pay it forward through understanding, resourcing and support for you.

Issues I specialize in:

  • Depression or anxiety

  • Disconnection from “The Community”

  • Body issues

  • Loneliness & dating struggles

  • Alcohol & drug use

  • Coming out

  • Gender non-conformity

  • Online or sex addictions

  • Sexual issues
